For these decisions are beneficial, correct, acknowledge yet its difficult to stick to it, difficult to excel in it, difficult for "you" to choose at first. But always always remember that, if you manage to persevere and endure throughout this journey, you will definitely find satisfaction, fulfillment and complete.

Due to weeks of training and running in gym, i have successfully slim down to 73kg as of today. Hehehe

Tips: Drink plain water instead of soft drinks.

Jog instead of running(burns more calories)

Eat less staple food like rice, noodles or bread.

Devour more meaty stuff, chicken, beef or mutton.

PS: It works on me, it will work for you.

After a hectic 2nd semester of NAFA, i finally made it through to the holidays. I long for these days for a long time, holidays have been my encouragement to finish all my assignments even without any sleep. I am really glad that i had finished Year 1 of NAFA and i am moving on to Year 2. Muhahahaha

I have been working out lately in the gym and i lost 3KGs!!! From 80kg to 77kg, OMG!. Its like a dream, i have never been able to beat 79kg but after a few days of gym and basketball(one meal per day) i manage to lost 3Kilos. haha.

Striving to become next year's class model. Haha

Muhahahaha!!!! I won the NAFA Best Designer Award for the ManHunt 2009!!!!!! Muhahahahah!!!! I gotten first place and was awarded with $1000 Heeren Cash Voucher. Haha. Been a very good experience and i have really expose myself to the working scene out there. Made many friends and taken pictures with beautiful girls. B E A U T I F U L Girls!!!!!!! Woohoo!!!! Le long! Le long!

This picture was taken yesterday at Heeren, i join the "Dress Me Up" event not by choice but by chance. Cause Nurul suddenly say cannot join them she ask me to fill in for her so here i am.

I was in Heeren for two consecutive days on Friday and Saturday, not gallivanting or chilling out, i was busy buying clothes for the MANHUNT FINALISTS. "sweat"

"Dress Me Up" event was not about dressing yourself but dressing the manhunt finalists, 6 Year 3 NAFA students, 2 Year 1 NAFA students Rodney and me joined.

On friday night, we were required to choose our finalist to dress and the challenge was not only dressing the finalist fashionably but we had a tight budget of $200 Heeren Voucher to spend on him. Who in the world can buy a full set from top to toe $200 in Heeren, in Hougang Mall surely can, but hello! Heeren lei, come on man. One pair of nice jeans in Jean Perrie already cost $159 cheapest. But nevertheless, we somehow manage to get all the clothes, accessories and shoes in $200 per finalists. I was lucky or maybe unlucky to have to dress 2 finalists, but i manage to accomplished my task within the time limit of 7 hours counting the time the shops closes at 10pm on friday and opening of shops at 11am, Friday 9pm till Saturday 5pm. Due time is 5pm on Saturday so we had a lot of fun spending the money of others as whatever we bought for them is for them to keep. Cool huh!

As you can see in the picture, MH13 Yu Hao is on my left and MH2 Darren is on my right, what you can see in the pictures from head to toe is my creation from the $200 Heeren voucher, from the shades to the shoes. Miracle!!!

2008 Thanksgiving (Sub-Zone)

Thanksgiving combined sub-zone meeting was a BLAST!!!!!!!

We had a theme to dress as a Character (eg. Harry Potter, Peter Parker etc...) or as a celebrity (eg, Tony Leung, Bu Jing Yun etc...), I was really very expectant to see what kind of impersonation that our Sub-Zone can think of. I myself wasn't too bad afterall, i was a TERRORIST!!!!! Muhahahahah! With a black mask, grey hoody and "massive" body build, i was really a full fledged Terrorist that strikes fear and "terror" into people's heart.

This was the first time our Sub-Zone was having a combined meeting like this, it turns out well than what we might expect . I gave my testimonial about how God have did wonderful miracles and blessings in my life, Yan Ming (Vincent Oh) also gave an exellent testimonial about what God had done in his life in 2008. We started with a little hiccups but we manage to smoothen and ended it with a loud BAM!!!!

FYI, i won the Most Generous Award, i will post the pictures later. Keep looking forward to it.

Yesterday night I went for our Zone's very first Leaders Prayer Meeting of the year 2009. We prayed for our church, ministries, pastors, cell group and members. We need a vision for this brand new year ahead, thus we are praying for a vision, breakthrough and a mighty harvest this year 2009. And just about when we are about to end the prayer meeting, Bro Edmund gave an altar call for those who wants to be a Cell Leader in the house of God, i remembered a phrase that he said that impacted me, "even if you think you are not good enough, not adequate enough, God still want to use you.." these words are etched into my heart as soon as he finishes the sentence. Then he asked those who are willing to stand in front, i made my way down into the front and Bro Edmund laid hands on me. I fell under the power of God, i know i am lying on the floor and at the same time, my mind was filled with questions like; God, are you here? God, am i making the right decision? God, am i good enough for you? God, am i good enough to be a Cell Leader? God, will you help me? I was waiting for an answer, i thought i could hear it so clearly and i even thought the answer will be in the song during that moment of time, but i still did not get my answer, i was still waiting as i laid on the floor.

Then suddenly, without even noticing that the answer was already given to me just before i fell to the ground.

Astonishingly, i recalled so vividly at that point of time that just as i was falling down i remember that the last word that came out of my mouth just as i was falling down was "" always.."" I did not even know why i say that during that point of time, i just thought that i just blabber out a word. But nothing is by coincidence, nothing is by chance. So i take this word as my answer and..

God, are you here?
God, am i making the right decision?
God, am i good enough for you?
God, am i good enough to be a Cell Leader?
God, will you help me?

The answer to all of these questions is ""always...""

I received a commentary paper from my teacher, its about how you fare last semester and what you need to improve more, this is my Sewing Module. As i begin to read, " U-Shaped Patch pocket -- Need to improve more. And right at the bottom of the paper was the different criteria of marking, "Presentation of Work", "Handling & Sewing Skill" and "Workmanship & Quality". To be honest, i think i really did well and it turns out to be CORRECT!

How come i got this title, you must be wondering. I will cure you of your curiosity now. Haha. On saturday afternoon, i had no cell group cause the day before saturday i had a Mind Blowing CG. Lolz. Thus on saturday i went out with my mom and dad alone (as both of my brothers, one went bowling and movie and the other went for the national day rehearsel), i told my mom i wanted to just get a watch, so we went around finding for a watch that is durable and nice at the same time. But as we went around in Vivo, my mom decided to buy for me new clothes as my school starts tomorrow!!! Hurray!!! We went into TopShop and actually i was suppose to buy a bottom only, but who knows i choose a bottom and 3 tops. WoooooHohohoho!!! And my mom bought it all and instantly i became the member of TopShop. Haha. Our search did not ended there, we went into a watch shop and i saw a watch that makes me want to bring it home, thus i told my father i want this model and he checked with the sales assistant, before i could say anything my father bought it for me. Haha. It was a FOSSIL Brand watch, its squarish and brown, it totally fits me. Yeah!!! So now you know what is this NEW STUFF i am talking about, Haha. See ya

Mind Blasting Cell Group!!!

On friday 18 July starting from 7.15pm, something good has happened in the little estate of Hougang. The venue was at Hougang Ave 7 Florida Condominium. We had a different type of cell group, we ordered buffet for dinner and the food was so delicious. Eg. Salad You Tiao, Prawn Paste Chicken, Curry Chicken, Sweet n Sour Fish, Minced Meat Tofu and Sotong Ball. Haha. The food was so delicious that i had a second serving, i even increase the quantity. Oops. Haha. And now to the games part, each connect group leader had to pair up with another to brainstorm a fun and exciting game for the crowd. First up was a modified musical chairs, there are crosses around the room that was created using masking tape, and on the cross there is an instruction on it. Eg. "Keep On Clapping", "Non-stop saying Haha Haha Haha" and "Jog on the spot". We were so entertained and all of us really played ourselves out and it was only the first game. Second up was a unique type of scavenger hunt and we need to find weird stuff like "coin that made up to $2" and even after that we even used the items to create shapes to gain points. Thirdly, a game that involves our senses, a game of using actions to act out the given word and the word must be passed down using actions, the last person must guess the correct word IF he/she manage to decipher the "funny" actions passed down from one person to another. And Finally the moment of truth, the best game is always the last and the game was put up by none other than Yours Truly. Haha. We asked a series of general and funny questions like " What is Spongebob pet snail's name?", "How many hair does an average man lose each day?" and " Who was the first president of S'pore" (the choices i gave was all wrong answers) and the person whom answers wrongly will get SABOed, Muhahahaha!!! Sabo items are Toothpaste , Whipped Cream, Pumpings or Sit-ups. Haha. And be sure to ask those that had been sabotaged, people like Kenneth that got WHIPPED CREAMED and Eddie that got TOOTHPASTED. Hi, once again I am your friendly neighbourhood Darwin Sim. Haha. I am here to share with you my latest update in my so ever exciting church. I am in the bookstore ministry in City Harvest Church if you know me in person, recently like 2 weeks ago i just got promoted to Sub Group Ic. Muhahaha!!! I had served in Attributes ( bookstore name ) for about 1 year already and finally i can be a leader to lead my fellow ministry member to another level of excellence, Banzai! I really want to thank my previous leaders in my ministry like Elaine Wong, Julian and Samuel B. They really played a big part in moulding me from a "shy" retail assistant to a Sub Group IC now, Lolz. But last but not least, i want to thank God for placing these wonderful people in my life to help me and assist me into making me a leader that can help my ministry and members to another whole new level of expertise and capabilities. Praise the Lord!!!

Finally after so long i started posting again, cause recently got many things like trying to appeal for poly and many etc ect... Anyway i am back and i will be sharing my blessings with you all, Haha. Firstly, i had cleared my building fund in Feb.Secondly i got a new phone as i had said before and lastly i had gotten my PSP!!! Hurray! Haha. i got a lavender coloured(purple) one, and now i am playing with it all day but nevertheless i still go for cell group meeting and service. just felt so blessed that less than a few days after i cleared my building fund i was blessed back so bountifully. Praise the Lord! If you see me playing and i never say "Hi", feel easy to approach me and i will greet you. Haha. Just got back from cell group and i am so happy from what the word was preach today, it really boost my confidence. BJ preach about Faithfulness, how we should be consistant, Fruitfulness, how a good tree will bear forth good fruit and Faith, where faith of a mustard seed can move mountains, and the bottom line i learned was "Face the mountain with faith and it will move away" explanation: face your problems and it will go away,. Like a quote from a philosopher" Failure is never FINAL, Success is never ending, COURAGE is what Counts" or from Michael Jordan" If you see a wall in your path, don't turn back or walk away, work around it or try to get over it, you just need a push thats all to get over the wall or obstacle you think its impossible. Shocking Sunday!!!

Today i was shocked as i thought today i was suppose to serve in my bookstore ministry, but my ic told me it was next week. I asked my fren last week see whether last week is our turn to serve but she say that week is not our week, thus i presume that this week was our week, but it wasn't. I was shocked but in a sense happy cause i can book seat instead of waking up early to serve. Oops. Haha. I am looking forward to serve next week and something shocked me again, my ic asked whether i can help out at the migration of our bookstore to hall 1, which means that our church service is going to change places. Arghhhh!! But i understand the reason behind it so ok, but i will be helping out next sunday after my serving from 3.30pm to 6pm i think to help them with the migration, and next next thursday for the full fledged migration of our booksotre. So i will be very busy during the week after this week, haiz. But nevertheless i believe that GOD will multiply my time and i can find time to spend with my family and buddies. Haha.

New Phone!!! + Feast!!!

Hurray!!! I got a new phone just on saturday, i got a red coloured sony ericsson slide phone W910i. It is a so called music phone where there is a special feature that when u tilt it while pressing the "walkman" button the song you playing with switch.Haha. And it is a slim phone, it feels so light that i don't even know i was carrying it, lolz. My mother change it for me when her plan expires and decided to upgrade the plan so i can get this new phone, i love my mum and she's the best mum in the world. Hehe. Cause she saw my phone so torn and tattered so she wanted to get a new one for me, i am so blessed to have such a good mum. After i gotten the phone, our family went to the turf city to feast. We bought the fresh seafood from the "unique seafood market", australia snow crab/$132, sea mixed garoupa/$39, bamboo clam/$44 and slipper lobster/$47, plus the additional rice and etc ect, the total bill was $356.71. And i ate a $12 yang zhou fried rice while my brothers ate only $0.80 white rice, which means i ate 15 times their one bowl of rice. lolz. My mum said its good to eat something good once in a blue moon, so it was worth it, and i was bloated after that feasting. I feel the food there was very good and reasonable, you guys should try if possible, haha. Yummy!!!

Hi, today i went to church service as usual. Today's sermon was about Valentine's Day and how to improve the relationship between you and your loved ones. I am greatly blessed by pastor's sermon as he made everything so clear on how GOD's perspective on the unionship of man and women, in a sense getting married. I understand how a man should be responsible of his actions and how a women should also, i can understand a little on how i should handle my relationship next time. After service, our cell plan to go ktv instead of going to steamboat, we try something new better than usual steamboat every year. Each person's average is $13 only, got chips, drinks and can sing a whole loads of songs, i personally sing about 7 to 8 songs i think cause i cant remember, IT'S WORTH THE MONEY!!! I feel that after CNY, spending a little money to indulge ourselves is alright. I am so happy that i made it to this year after CNY cell outing, i feel its worth the time and money. Haha

Different Sunday

Yesterday on Sunday morning, i was not able to go to service due to some reasons. First, my mum always say i am not at home when she need me and that i never been a good brother to stay at home to take care of them. Second, yesterday was considered an reunion dinner with my grandma whom is dearly to me but had passed away 3 years ago, after praying to her in the morning till afternoon, my whole family went back my aunt's place to fellowship and talk. Trying to figure out what is the missing items for Chinese New Year and finding places to buy it before the actual date comes. After all these that happen in the afternoon, it was finaly at night where my aunt cook a sumptous meal with abalone and sharkfin for our whole family to feast on. We had an funny family chit chat and we watched the video of my cousin's wedding, and when the video was running came lots and lots of fun and laughter. Although this week i am not been able to go service, but i will make sure to go next week. See ya

Money Depleting?

As you all should know that i have quitted my job and currently wandering around the streets of S'pore with my Kaki( gang) searching for clothes or anything that interest us. And the most frustrating problem is my EZ-Link card, my student fare have been changed into adult fare! Each time i tap in i must have the habit to tap out, cause i last time always never tap out but will not minus money cause i student fare but now adult fare i must tap out or else penalty minus $2. Waa! To my knowledge, every one or two days i will have to ask my mum for money to top up my EZ-Link card. And i have already calculated, just in 4 days i have top up $20 and now in my EZ-Link card the balance is $-0.23 Argh!! So this few days i will have to quarantine myself from going out to save bus fare and expenses from all the food temptations out there Haha.

I have submitted the Jae form and they first and second course were the only course that have the highest possibility that i can opt for and the rest of the 10 was abit way beyond my league, courses like environmental design or industrial design or architectural design. I like to draw and design( if you have seen my talented drawing of my Darwiins another type of newbies), and i love to do things that requires a physical touch to it. So today i am going to NAFA to sign up for the course for Fashion Merchandising and Marketing that will encompasses me to become a retail management or a event planner. In the first year they will teach the basics of the basics of design and drawing, they second year then is the route of our specialisation whether to go Drawing or Marketing, and of course i would choose Marketing. I feel that this course attracts me very much and i feel the prospect will never end. Like what Hikaru said" If people wear fancy clothes and go fancy places that will include your specialisation, you will never lose your rice bowl" For your info, Hikaru has High IQ and if you stand beside him you will gain IQ x10. Haha. Its like a back up plan if i cannot go in to TP and i do not want to go to SIM as the diploma is only recognise in SIM if i want to take a degree, and the first 3 months i must take a foundation maths class before i can enrol into SIM and If i unlucky the slots are taken when i successfully pass the 3 months of foundation maths that cost 3.5k for 3 months, then i will have to go Army, and you will see me either like Dannon or David. "weep"

I always wanted a psp and also wanted to change my handphone cause my phone got alot of weird things happen to it like sudden vibration and cannot see missed calls. So i told my mum i wanted these things and i am willing to forfeit my birthday and christmas present just for one of them, and to my suprise my mum say she will buy a psp in feb this year for my brothers and i, also change my handphone as my 2 year plan is going to end this march. So i am so blessed that in a few more weeks i can have the toys i have long for. Next time if you see me with a psp and playing, feel free to come up and chat with me as i will not ignore you even when i have my psp(i will even lend you play if you say please, rmb say "please")

Yesterday when i was out with israel( long-time friend), i received a call from Han Yong. He was telling me that everyone of the transport boys( 1 of the position in Noel) quitted and he ask me whether to consider quitting with them also. He told me that the job was getting more and more demanding, there was not even a second to change breath thus he decided that it was not worth to continue working at $5/hr. I was working in store( 1 of the position in Noel) and i felt the same way as my job does not even have a break time except lunch break and sometimes my lunch break will also be compromise by my store i.c Quek. I am suppose to work for 8hrs to fufill my daily working hrs and the 1hr of lunch is not paid, Quek still wants me to come back early to help out which means i am working without getting extra money. So in the end i also agreed on quitting, i feel its abit irresponsible but i gave a day notice before resignation so i think its ok. haha. So now i am free man and i want to find a new job to know more people and gain more working experience. lolz

Job Opportunities!

During this holiday while waiting for my 'O' level results, i went out to find jobs to earn extra pocket money to buy the things i like and also the building fund to the house of GOD. Many things came and pass me and the date was already the end of december, i still haven't found a job yet. During the previous weeks, i had tried to go for interviews at companies that find jobs for youngsters like me, in a sense its a recruiting firm. They found us no jobs at all and i am back to square one. Later on when coming to january, my father had a friend that is opening a shop at Bedok called "Goshen Departmental Store" that sells many household appliances and DIY stuffs. I went there to work with them with my friend Peter, they needed people thus we help then even on the public holiday on 1st jan. After a few days after the opening, the boss fired Peter due to the action of cuting costs was needed and Peter was the 1st one to go. I felt that they had betrayed us and used us for the busy period and later on they let us go, this betrayed our trust in them and i later on quit with Peter also. Now we had an even better job at Bedok in Chai Chee lane doing factory stuffs like logistic and packing, the pay was reasonable and the people there are good, thus i hope that history will not repeat itself again. I have faith in the Lord and i trust with all my heart. Haha

Finally i have started blog, seeing so many of my friends having blog makes me so envy of them. So now i want to try to have a blog of my own to share my thoughts and thinkings with others. I will learn more on how to custom my blog to make it look more cool and funny, through my blog maybe can see my thoughts on seeing things and my thoeries on our present reality. And a person that changes after they faces situations plus circumstances.
